The Norton is an all-American red wine grape variety unlike any other you have tried before. It opens with the aroma of tart summer blackberries and a spicy tease of cinnamon. With each sip, flavors of coffee, lilac, and an open frontier take over your mouth with an acidic, soft, yet bold body. There is a vast wilderness inside each experience with the Norton.
The Norton is a grape varietal wine that is one of the few if not only surviving North American native varieties of wine grapes. Heringer Estates first vintage of Norton was in 2012.
